Family Guy is the controversial cartoon from creator Seth MacFarlane set in Quahog, Rhode Island. The show centers around Peter Griffin (Seth McFarlene) and his family; his wife, Lois Griffin (Alex Borstein); and the three children: Meg Griffin (Lacey Chabert- Season 1 and Mila Kunis - Season 2), a college misfit; Chris Griffin (Seth Green), the mentally-slow art student; Stewie Griffin (Stewart - Seth McFarlene), who abandons his plot for world domination to kill Lois and Brian (Seth McFarlene) the alcoholic dog who has the most sense in the family.

Family Guy is well known for its incredibly frequent use of flashbacks (or cut-aways) where the episode switches from the main storyline to explain a previous event. Although they usually only last a few seconds, they provide hilarious (and often random) gags and contribute to the unfamiliar rhythm of the episodes.

Family Guy is also known (much like The Simpsons) to have an all-star cast involved. Not only do the successfull teen actors Seth Green and Mila Kunis play important roles in the show but Quahog is built up of fine people including Mayor Adam West played by Adam West himself. During the episodes, appearences have been made by fans of the show, such as Billy West (Fry from Futurama), Gameshow host Bob Barker, Actress Drew Barrymore, Film Star Dick Van Patten, Child star Haley Joel Osment, News Reporter Hugh Downs, Actress and Singer Jennifer Love Hewitt, The Rock Band Kiss, Actor Luke Perry, Star Wars Star Mark Hamill. X-Files and film star Michael McKean, Comedy Star Norm McDonald, Singers Peter Frampton and Peter Gallagher, Mob Actor Ray Liotta, Will Ferrel, Tony Danza and many many more!

The ill rumoured movie takes off from Season 3 and leaves it where Season 4 takes off. Other than that, nothing else can be confirmed, plot-lines Fox have released are the popular ones of Stewie Griffin finding out if he is a homesexual or not, another Storyline that Fox has provided is similar, where Stewie Griffin goes in search for his real father.
