[edit] The Freedom

The Freedom was the fastest ship built within the lifetime of all known sentient civilisations. It was so fast that space time vortexes were created as it moved. This ship was designed to provide the people of Liberty, who were fed up with the raging galactic war in their galaxy, a gateway to explore other galaxies. The ship was equiped with technologies so complex as to be utterly alien to most space faring civilisations. Developments while creating this ship were so high that a brand new system of communication had to be devised for it to keep in contact with the Liberty homeworld. Twin-linked photons were kept on board the ship and at the communication station on Liberty.

Entirely built by nanites, the Freedom also carried a experimental test module for the creation of wormholes. This module was supposed to deploy a stabilised wormhole in direct contact with the Liberty system, and the technology was a result of over 300 years of intensive research into the stabilisation of singularity like links between all parts of space time. The scale of the advances made during the creation of this single ship is thought to be the most rapid development of technology winthin the life of the galaxy. in only 300 years, the Liberty research teams solved problems that had taken 100,000 years to discover! If it worked, a transport network across the entire galaxy would mean that travelling between neigbouring systems would take as long as going to the kitchen and back, and that travel times of millions of years to the edges of the known universe would now take months. The Maiden Flight was the pinnacle of this research, and data vital to the continuation of the project had to be recorded. It was the biggest leap ever undertaken in one go. All the preliminary test had gone well, and the flight was meant to be a brief hop in and out of system to test the instruments. Unfortunatly, the damage caused by the distortion of time outside the ship was not predicted, and the outside of the Freedom was worn away. As it arrived at destination, extensive repairs would have to be undertaken to allow it to come back in one piece, and the wormgate would also have to be set up.

As it arrived in system, the hull was rocked as hundreds of heavy missiles aimed at the planet Shupiter struck true, and the ship nearly broke in half, having had no time to activate any of its defenses. Beyond help and slowly dying, the engines were fired one last time to escape the flurry of incoming missiles, and the ship was forced landed on the nearest habitable planet in the sector of Cassandra-Z, where all escape pods found their marks. After reorganising all survivors, it was decided to create a temporary outpost to heal the sick and wounded.

This outpost would later become Theos city, capital of Theos.

Luckily, the store of twin linked photons survived the impact on the planet seabed, and three month later, during her quest for survivor, Mara fortune, one of the lucky ones, managed to retrieve it under three miles of debris from the Freedom at a pressure of 3000tons/cm^2 in the Seltps Oceanic Trench and the world of theos was once again in communication with Liberty.

After many other hard and difficult barriers, the newly named world of Theos finally stirred in the sytem it was in, in what would be a new dawn for the people of liberty, whether on theos, or on liberty itself.
