Hideo Kojima

Hideo Kojima is a famous Japanese video games developer, who is renown for the Metal Gear series, Zone of the Enders, Snatcher, Policenauts, and Boktai. His games are often praised for their incredible gameplay and storylines, as well as the atmospheric and cinematic feel he gives to his games.
Initialy having dreams of becoming a film director, Kojima joined Konami's MSX division in 1986 as a designer. The first game he worked on was Penguin Adventure, as an assistant director. After working on another canceled project, his first released game was Metal Gear. It was released in 1987 to critical success, the game was unique for being the first succesful espionage game. The game suffered large obscurity due to its platform, until it was ported to the NES.
