- Knowing Me Knowing You with Alan Partridge comes from the pop song Knowing Me Knowing You by the Swedish band, Abba. It was first aired on BBC Radio 4 as talk show which contained six fantastic episodes which seemed popular enough to be transfered over to television.
- In 1994, BBC 2 took on the show and gave it another 6 episodes and a christmas special Knowing Me Knowing Yule! The show once again was hosted by Alan Partridge who appeared to be successful in that year. However, when he punched the commisioner of the BBC in the nose with a turkey the show became a dead duck, and who watches a dead duck? not even it's mother, it just flies off depressed.
