[edit] The Matrix Philosophy
To some people the three films, The Matrix, The Matrix Reloaded, and The Matrix Revolutions are percieved as all out action films with no meaning to them except to indulge the mind in shooting, slow-motion effects and some "cool" characters.
However, the Wachowski brothers appear to place some interresting plot twists and questions that will leave the audience asking themselves "What if?" I plan to pick through the trilogy and the Anime series The Animetrix and establish the questions behind these movies.
[edit] Are the philosophical views religous?
Some of the views in the films are depicted as religous, often, the idea of The Ying Yang appear during the film. Some of these include the Highway Scene during The Matrix Reloaded. During this scene, the two trucks colide and become one. Other religous aspects appear in the Final installment, The Matrix Revolutions when Karma is spoken about towards the beginning.
[edit] Are the philosophical views about morales?
Yes, most of the philosophical points that the Wachowski brothers make are based about the creation of our life. The main storyline consists of humans being farmed by robots for a power supply use. In the Animatrix, the Second Renaissance shows us the history of man, the way that we created robots to follow our labour is the beginning of our own demise.
