[edit] Introduction
The Metal Gear series are a collection of stealth orientated video games created by Hideo Kojima published by his favourite group, Konami. The game orientates around the operative Solid Snake who must ultimatley find out by the new weapon, Metal Gear.
The games are based in the present, the near future and the past and contain a great mixture of all out combat and stealth espionage, the settings allow certain rules to be changed so the greatest of sneakers can enable an option to have a Game Over when Solid Snake has been spotted.
[edit] What is Metal Gear?
Metal Gear, the advanced weapon, is tougher than a tank and allows easy transportation, it's goal is to allow a nuclear strike anywhere in the world with no warning.
This would mean that a country or nation could launch nuclear arms with no fear of a strike being sent back. As the games advance through time, the technology of the Metal Gear advances allowing updated version to be created, e.g. Metal Gear REX and Metal Gear RAY.
