Star Ocean

Star Ocean is the title of a series of role playing games developed by tri-Ace and released by Enix (and later, Square Enix). To date, there have been three main releases, although an additional sidestory game, Star Ocean: Blue Sphere has also been released on the Gameboy Color. Only two games have been published outside of Japan. The games follow the science-fiction genre, and many have commented that they are very similar to Star Trek, in the fact that there is a Federation of Systems (Pangalactic Federation) and conflicts with outliers and warp-speed travel.
The three main games are:
- Star Ocean: Fantastic Space Odyssey (released on the SNES in 1996)
- Star Ocean: The Second Story (released on the PlayStation in 1998)
- Star Ocean: Till the End of Time (released on the PS2 in 2003)
