Theos

Theos is one of the many world in in the known universe, but as it happened, Theos came about simply because of an awkward accident. Only a short while ago, in the system of Liberty, tests were being carried out on a revolutionary time wrap space drive.

The man in charge of these tests, who is now the commander of Theosian forces is Bruce Carter, one of the founders of the Liberty system. After some time, the people of Liberty looked further, and decided to research the possibility of a warphole drive to develop outside of the cramped galaxy they were in. And so Bruce Carter was appointed to command the ship, Freedom Explorer equiped with the prototype drive.

[edit] Arriving on Theos

On the given takeoff day, everything went to plan, but as after several weeks of travel, the Freedom Explorer jumped into a new galaxy, unknown to the Liberty astronomers, in the middle of a firefight between two rival planets during the evol war. The Freedom Explorer, already damaged by weeks of intensive strain, was past repair point, and had to crash land on the nearest habitable planet, which was baptised Theos, as a tribute to one of the dead co-founders of the Liberty system. This was several years ago. Today, Bruce and the team of Liberty colonists are working hard towards recreating a space warp prototype, but without the technologies, the effort has been very hard, but it is unlikely that the colonists stay down for too long, and after all, at 658 years old, Bruce still has all the time in the world to explore this bit of space for his home system....

The Freedom Explorer performed extraordinarily well, and arrived in one piece, in the middle of the biggest battle in the evol wars. The ship was mistaken by both sides as enemy, and all resources directed at destroying it. When the word finally reached through that this was not an enemy ship, the ship, strained beyond all expectations during long weeks of travels through spacetime itself, was dead, and had to crash land on the nearest habitable planet, and the occupants had no choice but to settle in.

Theos is the homeworld of the Theosians, and the first Liberty colony outside of the Liberty system. For years now, the people of Theos have atempted in vain to create a permanent link with the Liberty system through the space which divides them both. but without the proper thecnological support from the homeworld, Theosian settlers are limited to data only communication, making travel back to the homeworld impossible without a space warp unit which was destroyed beyond repair on arrival in this galaxy cluster. The people of Theos are patient however, as they know that Liberty scientists are currently working on sending a packet of nanites so that the reconstruction of a new experimental warp unit may begin again.

While in the little corner of this densely populated galaxy, it was decide by the Theosian inner council to make contact with the inhabitants of this cluster. With this goal in mind, Theos joined the joung psirens alliance, and as part of this alliance, Theosians hope to one day set up long term diplomatic links between the people of this cluster, and the alpha-f cluster, in which liberty is located, so that all may progress together, irrespective of any separating distance.

these becme vital, when, as a still-young colony, theos was attacked by the forces of convitbau so that he could use therevolutionary warp unit research. as it happened, the destruction of the FreedomEplorer was a blessing, since with only minimal stolen research data, convitbau's scientist were able to swiftly develop jumpgate technology. had the full research data been captured, there is no way of knowing how the galaxy would have suffered under the thumb of the tyrant convitbau, armed with the technology of liberty... but the theosians fought bravely and indeed, many perished but most of the reasearch an blueprints saved from the FreedomExplorer were kept safe, and in the end, convitbau was destroyed by the group which would later become the mighty psirens
